| After the second trip to Spain the following year the Renown needed a factory reconditioned engine and a re-spray! It was then that the car changed colour from the original to Ford Windsor Grey. | |
| The body of the car was fully restored and re-sprayed in the early 1990s. It has since had further work including a full interior and a refurbished cylinder head enabling the car to run unleaded. | |
